Operational Combatives & Weapon Retention
Operational Combatives & Weapon Retention
Sector Six Training Group provides structured combatives training focused on practical control, positional dominance, and weapon security in close-contact environments.
Our program incorporates ECQ (Extreme Close Quarters) — the integration of upper-body grappling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fundamentals, and controlled striking with the realities of weapons access and retention. This includes managing physical confrontation when firearms, edged weapons, or other tools are present within arm’s reach.
Led by a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and professional mixed martial artist with extensive experience in competitive grappling and Muay Thai, instruction emphasizes leverage, structural integrity, balance disruption, and disciplined escalation within high-pressure encounters.
ECQ training addresses the moment where distance collapses and confrontation becomes physical.
Emphasis is placed on:
* Upper-body grappling and clinch control
• Positional dominance and pressure management
• Takedown defense and stand-up recovery
• Ground control in weapon-present environments
• Firearm and knife retention principles
• Counter-grab and access protection
• Controlled disengagement under pressure
• Integration of combatives with weapon deployment
This is application-driven instruction designed to reinforce control, awareness, and survivability in confined or rapidly evolving encounters.
Training progression prioritizes structure and technical reliability before increasing speed or complexity.
Programs may be conducted at our Hollywood, Florida facility or integrated into private operational training engagements.
Private training is scheduled by request. Complete the form below and our team will follow up with next steps.
